Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Cutbench is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not require an account, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information.

What we don't collect

Cutbench does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or any project data. Everything you enter — projects, stock, parts, and measurements — is stored locally in the app's private storage on your device. We have no server that receives this data.

What limited data may be processed

1. Crash & diagnostic data. If enabled, Cutbench uses a crash-reporting service to record anonymous crash reports so we can fix bugs. These reports are not linked to your identity and do not include your project data. You can see exactly what is collected in the App Privacy section of the App Store listing.

2. Purchase & subscription data. Purchases are processed by Apple. To manage entitlements (e.g. Cutbench Pro), we use a subscription management service, which receives an anonymous device/app identifier and your purchase history from Apple. This service does not receive your name, email, or payment details — Apple handles all payment information directly and Cutbench never sees your card number or billing details.

3. Backups. If you enable iCloud backup for the app (where available), your project data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's own privacy terms — we do not have access to it.

Data retention

Since project data lives only on your device, it is retained for as long as you keep the app installed, and is deleted when you delete the app. Deleting a project inside the app deletes it immediately and permanently from your device.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data on our servers, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete on request. If you have used the app with crash reporting enabled and want any associated anonymous diagnostic data removed, contact us at the email below and we will make a commercially reasonable effort to locate and remove it.

Children

Cutbench is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
